Government of Yukon

The Government of Yukon is a territorial government that governs for all Yukoners. The Yukon Territory Act of 1898 created the region as a separate geographic and political entity that belonged to the Canadian federation. The Government of Yukon signed the Umbrella Final Agreement, and all 11 of the First Nation Final and Self-Government Agreements and is a partner in implementing these Agreements.
